Environmental innovators & business professionals committed to clean energy and correcting climate change...
"It takes a mix of soul and science." - Quincy Jones,
music producer, activist and co-writer of the iconic 1985 philanthropic anthem, "We Are
The World"
My interests and involvement in ecology go as far back as 1989, when I was involved in the Earth Day March in New York City. A few years ago, I helped the creation of "Sustainable Dobbs Ferry," a village movement that, among other things, was one of the earliest adopters of restrictions on gas powered leaf blowers.
One of my recent entrepreneurial clients, Kohl Construction, erected the first geothermal building in Westchester County, and continues to make environmentally sound shifts in how they do business. I have since worked with professionals in energy conservation, demand response, wind energy, water protection (Riverkeeper) and clean tech finance. Watch this space as clients share their comments.
I coined the phrase "Sustainable Confidence" and I speak on the subject publicly - I'll blog on the subject soon (blog site currently being developed). Meanwhile, I'm busy with innovative, entrepreneurial and executive clients who use me as a reliable, confidential sounding board to talk through challenges, clarify goals, and stay energized, confident and focused on a winning game plan. Together we're creating a brighter future.

Nina Orville -
Chair at Mayor's Task Force on Energy and the Environment (Dobbs Ferry) "During our first session I was amazed by Jonathan's ability to distill my discussion of career trajectory and passions into a pithy and accurate description of a career objective. Jonathan's focus on marketing, and marketing oneself, also helped me to reframe and sharpen my presentation of my professional abilities. I found my experience working with him to be of great value.” Top qualities: Great Results, Expert, Creative..September 25, 2009
Richard Krauze - Renewable Energy Advisor /
past Director of N. American Business Development at 3TIER "Jonathan is very insightful, thoughtful and passionate about his work. I met Jonathan through a friend and instantly found him very engaging and a great listener. He asks the right questions in order to understand the issues quickly and then uses the insights he gains to formulate sensible advice and thought-provoking questions.” Top qualities: Great Results, Expert, Creative - December 1, 2009
Ben Blumberg - , Executive Vice President, Stark Business Solutions, Inc.
"I have known Jonathan Flaks for close to 5 years and have a great deal of respect for him. There are many Executive Coaches out there who hang out a shingle and claim that they are qualified to help people reach a higher level of excellency and personal growth. Unfortunately, many of them do not deliver on this promise. Jonathan is one of the few coaches that, in fact, really bring out the best in their clients and help them achieve things they never thought possible. He is a coach's coach. I highly recommend him.” October 16, 2009
Mitchell York - Executive Coach, ClientWise LLC “Jonathan and I work together as coaches for financial services professionals. He is highly perceptive and a master of the principles of effective coaching. He is also very generous with his time and friendship.” November 9, 2008
On an important note: Dan Miller, co-founder of the Roda Group, presented "A REALLY INCONVENIENT TRUTH" on December 1, 2008 at the Cornell Entrepreneur Network in New York City. It became clearer than ever that this issue requires urgent action, but for now, there is hope and a possibility of salvation. I am dedicating my work to the reversal of global warming for a sustainable, vibrant planet.
Part of that commitment is my offer of partial coaching scholarships to those who need it. Feel free to ask about this. If you'd like to explore coaching and how it would impact your performance, balance and success, please click here to request a sample coaching session.
