Referring Coaching
I see every new client as a "winner in a rut." If there is someone you care about
who is not yet enjoying his or her full potential, call 877-700-BOLD to discuss how coaching can help. Or ...
Tips for Making The Recommendation
The recommendation will be MOST appreciated if it is presented as a possibility for a better life.
Don't say - "You're a mess - you need a coach!" That rarely works out well for anyone! :)
1. Acknowledge strengths and unfulfilled desires.
For example "Y'know, Bob...even though you are tremendously creative, it seems you often get less than you deserve." or..."Nancy,
remember when you said, "One of these days...?"
2. Suggest a CONVERSATION... A sample coaching session... nothing more. For example... "I know of an executive coach (or career and business coach)
who offers a FREE SAMPLE COACHING SESSION to help people reach their goals?"
3. Some people resist a bit at first, often with the same excuses that separate them their greatest success. (for example... "I can't afford it.", "I don't have time,"
"First I have to _______.", "That's not "my kind of" thing" or "Maybe someday..."). Others LOVE the suggestion, especially if they already have an appreciation for learning, growth and professional development.
4. Hand them (or e-mail) the phone number 877-700-BOLD (2653) and/or this web address www.jfcoach.com and perhaps repeat the offer for a free sample session.
Or contact me to arrange for a customized "gift certificate."
Then trust them to use it if and when they see fit. Don't push it. When a change is important enough, curiosity will lead them to explore your
suggestion and they will be truly thankful to you WHEN they experience benefits for themselves.
One final suggestion: As an added courtesy, you may choose to say something like, "I don't think you NEED a coach.
But here's the info, just in case it would end up being worthwhile."
Of course, if you would be more comfortable speaking with me first, or if you would like me to send you a business card, please contact me.
Thank you for caring.
